Community

A big part of Activate is getting to know (the) queer community and actively trying out new things. For this reason, different people from the LGBTQIA+ community will be invited to share their experiences, wisdom and energy with our Queer Youth Club. Workshops are also a central part of our meetings, you’re invited to join in if you’d like, but you’ll never be pressured to!

The Activate! Queer Youth Club is headed by a queer social education worker, and all members of our pedagogy team are a part of the LGBTQIA+ Community. To us it is most critical that Activate! is a safe space for any- and everyone. Therefore, we don’t tolerate any form of anti-queerness and hate. Everyone under the rainbow deserves our respect and we will be mindful to use gender sensitive language. There is also no space at all for racism, sexism, ableism, fatphobia or any other form of discrimination in our Queer Youth Club.
